To know who I am, you must first know who He is. He is my Savior, my friend, my guide and my Lord. He is the reason I am who I am. And the fact that He has chosen me to be the vessel for this ministry is awesome. My name is Kenya. I am a minister’s wife. My husband and I have served in several different churches through out the southern United States. God called me to be a minister’s wife and into ful-time ministry long before I ever met my husband and when I met my husband he was not a minister, but a school teacher. Before we married God called him into ministry and we have been serving God in this capacity since 1987. In the summer of 2002 our pastor preached a message in which he stated that God may wish to stretch some of us in a different direction. I really took this to heart. I could not get this out of my mind. I knew God was speaking directly to me; however, I didn’t know where He was leading. My husband and I went to a music conference feeling heavy hearted and very unsure about where God was leading. At the conference God spoke to us and gave us a new direction. On the way home God was just pouring out ideas to me. These ideas are coming to be known as Creative Design Ministries. I truly feel that this is God’s ministry; conceived, organized, and orchestrated by Him. My prayer is that as you use these ideas that you would be able to turn them into a tool to use as a ministry in your community. As I have put these ideas together each one is based in ministry: ministry to you, ministry to others, ministry through others. May these ideas open doors to you that you would be able to share your faith with others. I have scripture to go along with each theme. People will ask things like, what is that, where did you get that, or where did you get the idea. At that point the door is open for you to share as God leads you.
